A mountain resort in one display
For Powder Haven at Powder Mountain, Utah, the brief called for ski runs, roads, parking, homes, lodges and lot lines across the mountain. We built the 126 × 110 inch model in sections for transport and on-site assembly, finished as a spring landscape with snow at the highest elevations.
Seeing where the homes sit
For Summit Sky Ranch in Colorado's Blue River Valley, we built the development and terrain together in a 7 × 7 foot model, so visitors could see where homes sit in the valley. Our Marcella Club model shows a proposed Utah community's golf course, roads, lot lines and amenities on the terrain.
Planning the model and the table together
For Spanish Peaks and Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana, we built a 6 × 11 foot terrain model and the table it sits on, so the landscape and its presentation were designed together for the sales center.
Area, scale and source data
A terrain model starts with elevation data, a survey or site drawings.
