Mount Agamenticus
Designed as a touchable museum exhibit, this terrain model brings Mount Agamenticus and the surrounding landscape into one view. Raised landforms, blue waterways and painted routes make the terrain and trail network visible together.
Terrain designed to be explored
The project brief called for a touchable terrain model with a protective finish. Roads, trails and waterways are painted across the contoured surface, helping connect routes on a map with the landforms they cross.
The brief specified threefold vertical exaggeration to emphasize changes in elevation. The raised relief and colored routes give the model two complementary layers of information: the shape of the landscape and the ways through it.
