Archetype3D — Model Makers Denver
PROJECT UPDATE · OCTOBER 29, 2026

A new home field for the WisDOT I-94 model

A familiar Milwaukee landmark gets a little more detail, while the original corridor model keeps working.

One of the best parts of building a physical model is seeing it remain useful long after it leaves our shop. An October 2026 update from the WisDOT I-94 project team brought exactly that kind of news.

A stadium swap with a local connection

Our 2023 I-94 East-West corridor model included a simplified version of the Brewers’ stadium, originally known as Miller Park and now American Family Field. Earlier in 2026, the Milwaukee Brewers offered a giveaway replica commemorating the stadium’s 25th anniversary.

The project team obtained a few of the replicas and replaced the model’s original stadium with one of them. The replacement is a little larger, but the team reported that it fits the model well—and the clear protective cover still fits over it.

This was the project team’s update to the existing Archetype3D model. The new stadium is the Brewers giveaway replica, not a newly fabricated Archetype3D component.

A visit from Bernie Brewer

The shared photographs also show Bernie Brewer taking a closer look at the model. The stadium makes an easy point of connection: a familiar place within a larger network of roads, neighborhoods and infrastructure.

It is a small change to a much larger model, and a lovely reminder that these displays can keep inviting people to look, point and talk together.
